I like to take a peek into the crystal ball and think about whether my job, career path, and income can handle a major shift in what makes them valuable.

Time after time, I end at the same conclusion—skills update. 

As we think about the future workplace, we must recognise that -skills- are always more valuable than short-lived social media trends. 

While platforms like TikTok can bring quick fame and money, they often promote a shallow view of success. 

Many young people are drawn to the idea of making money overnight through viral content, forgetting that these moments are usually supported by creativity, strategy, and skill development.

So, why do skills matter more?

In a world saturated with curated online personas, genuine skills and talents stand out. Employers and brands that partner with influencers increasingly seek individuals who bring authentic value rather than those who rely solely on social media popularity.
